Evaluating Tools and Requirements for Digital Humanities Research
This workshop is open to all. Grad students register through GradProSkills. Everyone else can register on this page.
Preparing to do research using digital humanities techniques can be challenging. This workshop is designed to help you explore and reflect on digital scholarship techniques and resources that you can use to carry out your research. The workshop includes activities to start developing an awareness of DH approaches and methodologies, a capacity to find and evaluate tools, and an understanding of important criteria to use in planning which technologies you will use.
You will have opportunities to:
1. Discover and understand digital humanities approaches and practices that align with research objectives
2. Improve digital and data literacy for selecting appropriate digital technologies
3. Investigate the merits of different technological solutions based on a set of criteria
4. Develop digital humanities practices for selecting technologies
